George Miriklis of Jack Miriklis Pty Ltd.

How long have you been in the seafood industry?

Dad started the business in 1969 and I started with him in 1974 when I was 15.

What seafood do you enjoy cooking and eating at home?

I love Blue or Silver Warehou, a fillet simply pan-fried with some lemon and fish soup is perfect for cold weather, Rock Flathead is the best fish to use for this. And, there's Australian Salmon, on the day it’s caught. We scale it but don’t skin it and pan-fry it with a splash of vinegar, it’s delicious!
